Broussard, Vicki, Cedar Hill -- Vicki Ruth Broussard went to be with her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, November 10, 2010. Funeral Service: 11 a.m., Saturday at First Baptist Church, 1800 E. Broad St., Mansfield. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m., Friday at Blessing Funeral Home, Mansfield. Vicki Ruth McDonald was born to Addie Ruth Patterson and George Washington McDonald on 7 Nov 1952 in Tarrant County, Texas. She married Bruce Wilson on 15 Jul 1972 and to that union, two daughters were born. She later married Cyrus J. Broussard Jr. 9 May 1997 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Vicki described Cy as the "love of her life". She is survived by her husband of thirteen years, Cyrus J. Broussard; daughters, Amber Wilson Richards and her husband, John, Carli Wilson Smith and her fiance, Mike Blalock; grandchildren, Colton Richards, Miranda and Cooper Smith; and numerous other family and friends.

Vicki was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was employed for 27 years as a Marketing Executive for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas. She will be missed by her many friends, coworkers and customers.

As news of Vicki's passing began to spread thoughout her company, her Regional Sales Director issued the following bulletin to her coworkers: "It is with a tremendously heavy heart that I bring you the news of Vicki Broussard's passing this Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2010.

For those of you that were so blessed to have known her and privileged to have been a part of her life, you know there is nothing that I can say that would adequately describe the depth and breadth of Vicki's heart and that big warm hug of her personality that made us all feel a part of her life. Vicki's dedication and devotion to her family, coworkers and customers were unwavering and unequaled all the way through her final days with us.

To say only that she will be missed is an understatement. This world was truly better with her in it and will be a tougher place without her."

A tribute to Vicki from two of her loving friends: Meeting Vicki Broussard was definitely a life changing event for Debbie and Lark . Well over 37 years ago, this beautiful, vivacious, loving, kind, bighearted lady blessed us with her friendship.
The three of us have shared the most wonderful times of our lives as well as the hardest times of our lives. Engagements, marriages, births of our children and grandchildren, deaths of family members, vacations, birthdays, weekend visits, shopping and spa days, family trials and frustrations------all the peaks and valleys of life. Thank God we had each other.
In the tough times, Vic was always there with words of encouragement, a heart full of love and a patient and listening ear. In happy times ------now Vicki knew how to celebrate. No one had more fun than Vic. Her enthusiasm and her contagious laughter could light up any room and we know Vicki is planning our party in Heaven-Oh Baby Oh Baby!
Vic loved unconditionally. Many of you here today know that firsthand. She loved our Lord and Savior, her family, her friends, life, beauty, animals, and on and on.
Vic deserved the best life has to offer. Cyrus Broussard was God's gift to Vicki. What a privilege it was to share the euphoria Vic experienced in her life with Cy. She told us many times she had the perfect husband and that she was living in heaven on earth with her man. Cy, you will always be her Valentine.
Vicki shared many happy times with many of us here. She has brought happiness to us all. Her devotion and love to her husband, family and friends cannot be matched. Vicki leaves behind a legacy. A legacy of love.
Vic, you also leave behind a lot of people who love you and will miss you very much. However, you will be pleased to know, we will continue to tell our favorite stories about you. Some will be all true, some will be partially true, we can't tell everything we know, and some will be embellished to make us appear totally innocent. We know what you are calling us right now! Sweet Vicki, please know you will live in our hearts forever. Thank you for your beautiful smile, your compassion, your generosity, your fabulous sense of humor. Thank you for all the great memories.
You are safe and free of pain in God's hands now. You have completed the journey we all must take. Your soul is now set free. Love on earth of you is abundant, more than words could ever express.
All our love to our Vic,
Debbie and Lark
