Ray was born June 25, 1953 in Quincy, Fl. And grew up in Concord, Fl. He served in the U.S. Navy on a nuclear submarine during the early 70's. Most people will remember him as an excellent carpenter and his love of children.
Ray never married and had children, but he loved children and "adopted" many into his life.
He is survived by his brothers, David L. Vickers (Bertha) and Emory A. Vickers (Susie) of Havana, Fl. And his sisters, Gloria V. Fountain (Jack) of Live Oak, Fl. And Jeanie (Pat) Dawkins of Havana, Fl.
He was preceded in death by his father, Council Vickers, and his mother, Elsie Walsh Vickers
