Widowed 4 times, Rowena was first married to William Preston Beane in 1881, who died at only 34. She then married Joseph Preston McCormack (also widowed) in 1896. After Joseph's death she wed Samuel Lewis Bruffey (1917), who was the widower of Rowena's sister. She last married Calvin Aliff in 1932 who predeceased her. Rowena is buried beside her first husband, with names of both first and last husbands' names on her headstone.
