Marie Faber, age 83, died on Friday, January 19, 1996 at the Bishop Noa Home in Escanaba. She was born in Sun Prairie on July 19, 1912 and was the daughter of George and Margaretha Faber. She was a housekeeper for Rev. Edward Malloy for 35 years in the Upper Peninsula. She has been retired at the Bishop Noa Home in Escanaba since 1979. Survivors include a brother, Alphonse (Veronica) Faber of Madison; two sisters, Angeline Keliher of Madison and Sister M. Lipharda of Oconto; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother; a sister, Sister M. Deicola; and a sister-in-law. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 22, 1996 at Sacred Hearts of Jesus & Mary Catholic Church, 227 Columbus St. in Sun Prairie, with Father Dave Flanagan officiating. Burial will be in Sacred Hearts Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at the church on Monday. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the Retirement Fund for the School Sisters of Notre Dame.
