She was born April 29, 1941, in Montpelier, to Brandon and May Galloway Wilcox. She graduated from Montpelier High School in 1959, then went to work as a telephone operator in Montpelier, and then in Las Vegas. She returned home when her father died, and started working at the bowling alley in 1977, until her illness caused
her retirement.
She was a member of the LDS Church, and held many church positions during her life including teaching Primary for 13 years. She enjoyed bowling. She enjoyed camping
and yard work. She was very gifted, and did beautiful handwork.
She is survived by her mother, May G. Wilcox of Montpelier; one brother, Dennis Wilcox of Montpelier, two sisters, Mrs. Gayle (Dixie) Smith of Ogden, and Mrs. Kevin (Linda) Mangum of Georgetown, also two very special children, Adam and Andrea Matthews of Montpelier.
She was preceded in death by her father and one sister.
Funeral services were held Wednesday.
