Mrs. Barbara Ellen Tharp Peck, 91, died Friday at Poudre Valley Memorial Hospital. She had been living in a local nursing home. She was born Sept. 1, 1877 at Laporte. A graduate of the University of Colorado in Boulder, she taught school at Eaton. She was married to Dr. Birdsey Peck on Oct. 8, 1908 in Laporte.

Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Jake Holtz of Laporte and Mrs. Florence Baker of Los Angeles, California.

Mrs. Peck was a member of the Eaton Congregational Church and had been a member of Chapter 67, Order of Eastern Star in Eaton for over 50 years.

The funeral will be Wednesday at 2 pm at the Macy-Allnutt Mortuary, Eaton Chapel. Burial will be in Eaton Cemetery with Eastern Star services at gravesite.

After Dr. Peck died, my Dad (her nephew) took care of "Aunt Ellen"'s affairs.
