Services for J. D. "Dick" Albritton, 79, of Rt. 2, Lufkin, were conducted at 10 a.m. Friday in the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Carl Misterfeld officiating and burial in Berry Cemetery.
Mr. Albritton was born August 1, 1895 in Angelina County and died early Thursday morning at his residence. He was a lifelong resident of Angelina County and a retired logger. He was a veteran of World War I and attended the Jehovah Witness Church.
Survivors: wife, Mrs. J. D. Albritton; son, Gene; six daughters, Mrs. Evelyn Free, Mrs. Charlene Sharp, Mrs. Dorothy Hearne, Mrs. Betty Craig, Mrs. Joyce Crain and Mrs. Patricia Williams; brother, Fred Albritton; two sisters, Mrs. Virgie White and Mrs. Thelma Albritton; 14 grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
