James S. Grisham, 73, district attorney for Van Zandt County for eight years, and a former Dallas attorney, died at his home near Ben Wheeler.
Mr. Grisham had been a resident of that area since 1948 after retiring from his law practice of several years in Dallas.
He was president of the Van Zandt County Bar Association and a member of the State and American Bar Association and was licensed to practice before the U.S. Supreme Courts and all Federal and Tax Courts.
He was survived by his wife, two sons and a daughter.
