Emily was the daughter of Jacob Boston Longbottom and Esther Firth. She was twice married: First to Jesse Q Makin and second to Roy R Reyner. Roy died in 1967 and after his death she lived with a cousin Gladys Boston Welty. After Gladys died she lived alone for a few years until her death. She never had any children, but she helped raise her nephew and niece (Dale and Imogene) children of her brother Earl's first marriage.
