HOPE, Ark.—Catherine E. Burns, 80, of Hope died Thursday, Feb. 5, 2009, in Texarkana, Texas.
Mrs. Burns was born May 17, 1928, in Hope. She was a farmer. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil L. Burns. She was a member of Central Church of Christ.
Survivors include three daughters, Charett Simpson of Texarkana and Gail Wolfenbarger and Kimberly Sennett of Hope; one son, Cecil Burns of Hope; one sister, Leola Hutson; one special niece, Lynn Pompa of Rowlett, Texas; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Herndon-Pharr Funeral Home with Harold Freeman officiating. Burial will be in Central Cemetery.
Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
