On June 19, 1928 she married Fred Krueger at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, north of Falls City. He passed February 24, 1965.
Ethel was raised four and a half miles northeast of Verdon and graduated from the Verdon High School in 1924. The couple established their home northwest of Falls City when married and later lived on farms in the Shubert and Verdon areas until moving to a farm east of Dawson, NE in 1942 and lived there until moving to Falls City in September of 1965. She was a member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, north of Falls City; member of the LWML in which she was a past Secretary, Treasurer and Past Zone Secretary; also a member of the Altar Guild. She had also been a member of the Neighborhood Club of the Verdon area.
Ethel is survived by her daughters, Jean Niedfeldt of Falls City, Joann Niedfeldt and her husband Harold of Falls City, son-in-law, Kenneth Niedfeldt of Columbus, NE, sister, Edith Schmidt of Bellevue, WA, nine grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Janice Niedfeldt, brothers, Ralph and George Bauer and a granddaughter in infancy.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 16, 2010 at 11:00 AM at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, north of Falls City with Reverend Daniel Gifford officiating. Interment will be in St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church Cemetery.
