Lloyd Henry ADLEY, 69, 1420 Jefferson St., died at 4:25 p.m. Sunday at Woodlawn Hospital after a long illness.
He was born in Philadelphia, Pa. to Lloyd Carl and Sarah TAYLOR ADLEY. On June 22, 1946 in Elkhart he married Julia Mae BROWN, who surives. He came to Rochester from Mooresille in 1951. He retired from Edmonton Manufacturing Company as a vice president with 35 years service on Dec. 31, 1987. He served with the U.S. Army during World War II in the Pacific Theater and also with the U.S. Air Force. He was a graduae of Indiana State University. He had been a past president and member of the Rochester Lions Club, Manitou Moose Lodge 1107 and a member of the Gideon Society. He served on the Rocheser City Council for nine years.
Surviving with his wife are his step-mother, Betty ADLEY, Scranton, Pa.; two daughters, Mrs. John (Marsha) ROBERTS and Mrs. Mark (Mary Anne) HEISHMAN, both of Rochester a son, Lloyd Carl ADLEY, Rochester; eight grandchildren, Jennie and Melanie ROBERTS Stacey and Amy HEISHMAN, Ty ADLEY, all of Rochester; Arron, Shawn and Megan, Etna Green; and a sister, Mrs. James (Jean) ROSENGRANT, Lake Ariel, Pa. Preceding in death was a granddaughter, Tracey Anne HEISHMAN.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Foster & Good Funeral Home, Rochester, with the Rev. Carl RICKS officiating. Burial wil be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Rochester. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. through the hour of service on Tuesday. The American Legion and VFW Post will conduct military graveside rites. The Rocheser Lions Club will conduct a memorial service at 7 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Gideons, Trinity United Methodist Church and the Lions Club.
