Hattan - Mitzner Wedding Is Solemnized At Nelson; Will Have Lincoln Address

The marriage of Miss Arnita May Hattan, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul E. Hattan, to Lester Henry Mitzner, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry F. Mitzner, was solemnized March 20 in the First Christian church (sic) of Nelson. Rev. C.M. Foust performed the double ring ceremony in the presence of 165 guests. The chancel was decorated with fern and baskets of white gladioli.

Miss Leota Jane Hattan, sister of the bride, wore blue taffeta with pink carnation corsage, and Jack Stricklin, cousin of the bridegroom lighted the tapers. Miss Idonna Braun, Syracuse, and Winnerford Foust, Lincoln, sang. Both were accompanied by Miss Donna Sell, Chester, who also played the wedding music.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore white slipper satin, fashioned with a net yoke and lace bertha. The bodice was fitted and her full skirt fell to a train. Her fingertip veil of bridal illusion was held in place by a crown of white lace. She carried a white Bible marked with an orchid.

Mrs. Doris Hattan, sister-in-law of the bride, was her only attendant. She wore yellow taffeta with matching shade mitts and colonial bouquet of talisman roses.

Allen Kuhlenengel, cousin of the bridegroom was best man.

Guests were seated by Hubert Hattan and Bernard Holscher. Miss Margaret Mazour was in charge of the guest book and Miss Polly Marpel presided over the gifts.

The reception was held in the church parlors where a three-tiered wedding cake baked by the bride's mother formed the central decoration.

For traveling, the bride wore a Navy blue suit with matching accessories and an orchid corsage.

Mr. Mitzner was assigned about two years at Beatrice and in the southeast counties as state patrolman. Before that he spent two years at Fairbury in state patrol service. He attended Wentworth Military Academy, Lexington, Mo., and the University of Nebraska.

He and his bride will reside at 1401 South 25th street (sic), Lincoln.
