Dies at Roger's Crossing

George Abrams 77, died at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ambrose Flood at Roger's Crossing Friday evening. He had been in ill health for some time.
Mr. Abrams was born at Summertown, Canada, in 1848, son of Norman and Mary Abrams. For a number of years he was foreman of the Beaver River Lumber Company. He suffered a sun stroke
20 years ago and since that time has not been able to work.
Surviving him are two sons; William and Theodore of carthage. Seven Daughter, Mrs. Elizabeth Donely, Lowville; Mrs. George Keiffer, Lowville; Mrs. Gilbert LaTray, Conrwall, Ontario, Mrs. John Kisotelle, Cornwall, Ontario; Mrs. Elmer Curtis, Vernon; Mrs. Ambrose Flood of Carthage and Mrs. George LaRue of Cornwall; three brothers, William, Albert and Stephen all of Summertown, Canada. One sister, Mrs. Alexander McDougal, Harrison's Corners, Ontario, Canada. Also 41 grandchildren. Four grandchildren are nuns.
The funeral was held Tuesday morning at 9 o'clock with a requiem high mass at St. James' Church, Carthage. Interment at St. Stephen's Cemetery, Croghan.
