In 1891 he took over a flour mill located where the Wheeler Pigg gin now stands, and operated it for some time. [2002–the location of Hamilton Public Library.] From 1892 to 1898 he was in the livestock commission business in Kansas City. He then returned to Hamilton and built a small mill where the Hamilton Mill & Elevator Company now stands. [On South Railroad Street north of Kooken Field.] He died in 1920.
Mrs. Felt, formerly Miss Nellie L. Holland of Jackson, Mich., now lives in Hamilton with her daughter, Mrs. John R. Eidson. Her son, Wright Felt, lives at Hollywood, California. One sister, Mrs. H. C. Crews, lives at Mounds, Oklahoma.
