He was born March 26, 1899, in Kentucky. He was married to the former Miss Lottie Ethel Turner on Oct. 16, 1918. He was a retired farmer.
Surviving is his wife; sons, Melvin, T. J. and George Dismuke; daughters, Mrs. Hazel Evans, Mrs. Bernice Carter, Mrs. Ella Oxford, Mrs. Delie Jones, Mrs. Lavada Showmaker, Mrs. Margie Wright and Mrs. Mary Ethel Shelvin; brother, Bardis Dismuke; sisters, Mrs. Leona Greenlee and Miss Otello Dismuke; 34 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be Friday at Nunnelee Funeral Home in Sikeston. Burial will be in the Garden of Memories Cemetery.
