Bobby Davis Tiner, 72, of Blakely, died Thursday, May 18, 2006, at his residence. Mr. Tiner was born in Miller County, April 26, 1934, to the late Benjamin Wright Tiner and Zemma Davis Tiner. He lived most of his life in Early County and was retired from Georgia-Pacific as a mill wright. He was a member of Southside Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Margie McDonald Tiner of Blakely; one daughter, Tammie Houston and husband David of Blakely; two brothers, Stanley Tyner of Colquitt and Larry Tiner of Jacksonville, Fla.; and one sister, Elsie Webb Mason City, Ill.

Funeral services were Monday, May 22, 2006, 11 a.m., at Southside Baptist Church with Rev. Buren Womble, Rev. George Atherholt and Dr. Adolph Phares officiating. Interment followed in the Blakely Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Steve Merritt, Alan Merritt, David Houston, Dr. Robert Lane, Eric Merritt, Stan Tiner and Larry Davis.

Honorary pallbearers were Jimmy Murkerson, Jimmy Griffin, Charles Adkinson, Robert Love, Andy Oliver, Lamar Willis, Glenn Enfinger, Fred Forsee, Perry Jarrett, Derrell Clark, Alvin Brown, Mack Granger, Chuck Wethersby, James Tyler, Rex Lee, Ron Harrell and John McDonald.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made Wiregrass Hospice, 432 Shotwell St., Bainbridge, GA 39819.

Manry-Jordan-Hodges Funeral Home was charge of arrangements.
