"Washingtonville - John Senior died of jaundice at the home of A.F. Babb, near McKinley mine at Beloit, Sunday evening at 7 o'clock, aged 37 years, 9 months and 27 days. Undertaker W. E. Roller brought his remains here Monday evening and they were waked at the home of his half sister, Mrs. George Kirtley, until 1:30 pm Wednesday, when they were interred in the family lot in Oakland cemetery, Rev. J. E. Russell officiating minister. Deceased was not a member of any organization and the funeral was therefore a private one. He was not married, but was largely related and his funeral was well attended."

John is the son of William Senior and Mary Firth and is buried here with both of them.
