Edward Longbottom
Washingtonville - Edward Clinton Longbottom, 81, of Boston St., died at 12:15 a.m. this morning of complications at his home. He had been ill nine months.
Mr. Longbottom was born Jan 1, 1878 at Nashville, Tenn., a son of Thomas and Margaret Boston Longbottom.
He was a member of the Robbins Memorial Methodist Church of Washingtonville and Masonic Lodge F & A.M. of Leetonia. He was a life member of the Salem Masonic Club.
He was a member of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Firemen and Engineers for 59 years.
A retired locomotive engineer, he worked at the Cherry Valley Furnace Co. in Leetonia and later at the Struthers Furnace Co. in Struthers.
Surviving are his wife, Nora Senior Longbottom whom he married at Washingtonville on Aug 31, 1899; four sons, Emete.,Raymond C.,Raymond E., and Lloyd, all of Washingtonville; eight grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and one brother, Thomas L. Longbottom.
Three sisters and three brothers preceded him in death.
Services will be held as 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Woods and Son Funeral Home in Leetonia, with the Rev. R.E. Ferguson officiating. Calling hours will be Tuesday afternoon and evening. Burial will be in Washingtonville.
