Michael G. Anderson, 54, of Pueblo. Mike was born in Pueblo, Colo., on Nov. 24, 1947, and died unexpectedly at his home in Westminster on Aug. 30, 2002. He worked in cable television construction for many years and he and his young family traveled and lived in numerous states. He worked in hardwood flooring since 1987 and taught his sons floor refinishing. He was raised on the East Side of Pueblo until his family moved to Lake Avenue on the South Side, where he graduated from Pueblo Catholic High. He was in the band The Mauraders and passed down his love of music to his children. He served in the National Guard and Special Forces for six years. Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Ovid and Mary Frances. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Dian; children, Lani, Jennifer (Mark) Jackson, Kristine, Sean (Stephanie) Anderson, Regina and Chad; grandchildren, Jonathon, Kimberly, Dillan and Sean; brother, Joe Anderson; sisters, Barbara (Ray) Treece, Betty McKenna and Mary T. (Victor) Dugan-Vigil; father- and mother-in-law, Chuck and Reba Humphrey; brothers-in-law, Rocky (Deb) Humphrey and Ricky (Debbie) Humphrey; sister-in-law, Mary Ann (Kenny) Valdez; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews; also special friends, Tom (Bev) Trujillo and Mike (Deb) Derickson. Viewing will be from 1 to 6 p.m. Thursday and funeral service, 10 a.m. Friday, both at Romero Chapel, with officiant Chaplain James Slak. Interment at Roselawn Cemetery. Relatives and friends will be received at Romero Courtesy Hall following interment. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Michael's Memorial Fund through Romero Funeral Home. Military honors by Pueblo Veterans Ritual Team.
