FUNERALS
C. F. King

Somers, Oct. 13 - Funeral services for C. F. King, 67, were held at the Somers Methodist church, with the Rev. J. L. Ralston of Dickens officiating, assisted by the Rev. S. J. Wallace of Moville and the Rev. O. Sandbach of Somers. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery, Fort Dodge, with the McIntyre Funeral Home of Rockwell City in charge.
During the services, Glenn Schmidt sang "Going Home," and "Abide With Me," with Mrs. Glenn McNeil as organ accompanist.
The flowers were arranged by Mrs. Fred C. Hill, Mrs. Jay Hicks, Mrs. A. W. Moeller and Mrs. Oren Moore.
Pallbearers were Will Davis, Jay Hicks, Arthur W. Moeller, John Miller, Jim Irvine and Dewey Kennedy.
Charles Fleming King, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. William King, was born Nov. 30, 1881 in Keokuk County, Iowa, and died Oct. 5.
When just a small boy, he went with his parents to Osborn, Kansas, where they lived two years, then returned to Iowa in a covered wagon.
On Feb. 20, 1906, he was united in marriage to Gaye Helen Head, and they had five children.
Surviving are his wife and five children, Mrs. John Moeller, Somers, John F. King of Hopkinton, Mrs. Harold Hunter of Minburn, Willis V. King of Fort Dodge, and Donna Rae at home.
Also surviving are seven grandchildren, four sisters, Mrs. E. J. Stacy, Mrs. John Mack, Mrs. E. S. Brand and Mrs. Harry Lewis; two brothers, John W. King of Rockwell City and Isaac King of Hillman, Minn.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Mrs. Fred Wickman and Mrs. J. F. Richey.
