Lillie Belle Sharps, 40, of Independence, died at 7 a.m. last Thursday in a Philadelphia hospital. Born Sept. 4, 1915, in Independence, she was the daughter of Samuel Hibbs and Regina Kincaid Hibbs.Mrs. Sharps was postmaster at Independence and was a member of the National Association of Postmasters. A lifelong resident of Independence, she was a member of the Gladesville Baptist Church.Surviving are her husband, James Sharps; her father, Samuel Hibbs; three brothers, Wade of Columbus, OH, Clyde of Caline, MI, and Earl of Newburg; two sisters, Mrs. Ruby Lang of Chicago and Mrs. Grace Holmes of Independence.Burial was in the Gladesville Cemetery with the Rev.
