"Woman Dies Suddenly"
"Mrs. Martha Dawson Succumbs to Attack of Heart Disease."
"After an illness of only one day's duration, Mrs. Martha Dawson, of Albion, widow of S. B. Dawson, died at 2:30 this morning of heart trouble. Mrs. Dawson had had a serious attack of this nature about a year ago.
Mrs. Dawson was born Martha Eliza Dent, Aug. 1, 1843, in Indiana, and moved to Ohio when she was a little girl. At the age of 12 she moved with her family to Iowa, and has lived in Marshall county ever since with the exception of four years, when she lived in Hardin county. She married in 1858 to Samuel B. Dawson, who died six years ago. Eight children were born to Mrs. Dawson--five boys and three girls. One son, Harry, died when a baby, but the others, Alexander, William , Grant, and Frank all live at Albion. One daughter, Hester, died when an infant, but the other two are living near Albion. They are Mrs. Sarah Dunham and Mrs. Mary E. Hilsabeck. Mrs. Dawson also leaves one sister, Mrs. Rebecca Hubbard, of Boise, Idaho and one brother, William Dent, of Shelby county. Mrs. Dawson had been a member of the Presbyterian church of Albion for fourteen years."
