Kayla was born October 11, 1998, in Kansas City, Mo, and was a lifelong resident. She attended preschool at Morris Early Childhood Center. She was preceded in death by her Grandma, Darlene Reddell. Survivors include her parents, Anthony and Penny; brother TJ; grandparents, James and Margaret Hastings, Terry Baughman, Janet Hartwig, great-grandmothers, Marian Johnson and Harriette Spears; aunts and uncles, Mark and Annette Van Booven, Bryan and Jennifer west, Kim and Danielle Paulsen, Pat and Terri Morris, Ronnie Baughmanand Leslie Baughman. Kayla also leaves her three cats, Bear, Boots and Tigger; her best friend, Lexi Smith-Griffin, and home away from home with Cindy and Sandra Jacobs, in addition to her special friend Greg (Greg Greg) Van Booven. Services were held at 1 p.m. Monday, March 3, 2003, at Maple Hill Funeral Home; Burial in Maple Hill Cemetery
