GRAHAM - Mrs. Margaret Cornelia Soley Smith, 68, of 3113 Worsham Mill Road, Ruffin, died Friday, Jan. 23, 1998, at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital in Greensboro, after two years of failing health.
A native of Pennsylvania, she was the wife of the late Mr. Judge Alexander Smith Sr., and the daughter of Mr. Joseph Soley and Mrs. Elizabeth Parrish Soley, both deceased. She was a homemaker and attended J. A. Lowe Memorial Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Margaret S. Felipe of Ruffin; a son, Mr. Judge Alexander Smith Jr. of Burlington; a stepdaughter, Mrs. June McDonald of Asheboro; and four grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Mt. Hermon United Methodist Church cemetery.
The family will be at McClure Funeral Home in Graham from 6 to 8 this evening.
