Mary A. Shiel, wife of John J. Shiel died at the family residence in Seymour, on Saturday evening, at the age of 56 years. She had been ill for several years past. She was a native of County Tipperary, Ireland, and when fifteen years of age came with her parents to America. Several years ago she was united in marriage to John Shiel. The family formerely lived at Ewing, where Mr. Shiel conducted a tannery. Mrs. Shiel was a noble hearted woman and held in high esteem by all who enjoyed her acquaintance. Her husband and five children survive her. Throughout life she remained a faithful and consistent member of the Catholic Church.
