George H. Lee of Tuscaloosa died on July 24, 1957 while working at the Warrior Lock and Dam 12 miles south of Eutaw. Lee was born in Pickens County, Alabama, on July 5, 1915 to Mr. & Mrs. E.C. Lee. He graduated from Carrollton High School in 1934. He completed coursework at the University of Alabama in electrical engineering with the Management War Training Program and further course work in the Engineering Defense Training Program at Alabama Polytechnic Institute. He entered active duty with the U. S. Navy where he served during World War II.
Lee was a member of the Rising Virtue Masonic Lodge, The Tuscaloosa Shrine Club, a deacon of South Highlands Baptist Church, and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the church.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth; two sons, Michael and David; daughter, Judy; six brothers; and his mother. Preceding him in death was his father.
