Mr. Gabriel was born May 28, 1926, on his father's homestead in a log cabin in Swan Lake Valley in the Klamath Falls area. He attended schools in Swan Lake Valley and Henley. He served in the Army during World War II. He was a rancher most of his life. He loved fishing and hunting, especially elk hunting.
Survivors include his brother and sister-in-law, Lincoln and Sandi Gabriel of Klamath Falls, and nephews, Chuck Reeves of Oregon and Kenneth Reeves of Packwood, Washington.
He was preceded in death by his half brother, Robert Newman, and his half sister, Ruth Newman.
