Very well-known clergyman in Bristol. Originally born in Swansea, South Wales, he was the vicar and later canon of Saint Michael's On The Mount church, Saint Augustines, Bristol for most of his life and between 1967 to 1968 was Lord Mayor of Bristol. As a young girl my mother attended his church very regularly. In later years he occasionally appeared in the local newspaper and on television. His wife, Lily Magdalene Vyvyan-Jones, preceded him in death.
