Funeral for Albert Grady Campbell Jr., 81, of Decatur was to be today at 2 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. J. Wayne Penn and the Rev. Dr. Todd Evans officiating.
Burial was to be in Decatur City Cemetery. Visitation was last night from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
Mr. Campbell died Sunday, June 22, 2003, at Parkway Medical Center. He was born Nov. 7, 1921, in Decatur to Albert Grady Campbell Sr. and Tommie Eleanor Smeyrl Campbell. He was retired from Cleveland Electric and was later employed by Kmart. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army during World War II and a member of Parkview Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. He was preceded in death by his nephew, Rex Edward Johnson.
Survivors include his wife, Oma Lee Jacobs Campbell; four nieces, Rheda Johnson Brown of Lander, Wyo., Patty Johnson Dietz of Decatur, Susan Johnson Walden of Spartanburg, S.C., and Sandra Sue Orr Corn of Etowah, Tenn.; and one nephew, Donald Orr of Columbia, Tenn.
Pallbearers will be the deacons of Parkview Baptist Church.
Honorary pallbearers will be Richard Bay's Sunday school class.
