Camden - Thomas Ancrum, 78, retired Southern Cotton Oil Mill Plant manager, died Tuesday at Kershaw County Memorial Hospital.

He was born in Abbeville, son of William Alexander Ancrum and Anna Calhoun Ancrum. He was graduated from Clemson College and was a member of the board of visitors. Survived by his widow, Mrs. Josephine Muessen Ancrum; a son, Thomas Douglas Ancrum and a daughter, Mrs. Louise Ancrum Steffens.
