OBITUARY :
JOHN ELMER WALTZ, 63, died at his home on Waltz Road, Chewsville, Tuesday evening, aged 82 years.
Born in Chewsville, he was a son of the late John J. and Martha Alice (Swope) Waltz. He was engaged in farming all of his life.
Surviving are a son, John J. Waltz, Chewsville; daughters, Mrs. Irene Smith, Hagerstown; Mrs. Naomi Rinehart, Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; Mrs. Jane Evans, White Plains, N.Y.; brother, Arthur Keller Waltz, Chewsville; 4 grandsons.
Funeral services will be held at the Minnich Funeral Home, Smithsburg, on Friday at 2:00 p.m. by the Rev. Monroe Shearer, Sr. Burial in Smithsburg Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday evening from 7 to 9 p.m.
