Anderson R. Scallorn (May 19, 1814 – September 22, 1871) served as Hays County Sheriff from October 26, 1861 - August 4, 1862. Sheriff Scallorn was born in Limestone, Alabama. Sheriff Scallorn enlisted in the Army of the Confederate States of America and served in Company I, Texas 16th Infantry Regiment (Flournoy's Texas Infantry) and later the Texas 36th Cavalry during the American Civil War.
