Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at St. Mark Evangelical Lutheran Church, Davenport, where he was a member. Burial will be in National Cemetery, Arsenal Island. Visitation will be 2 to 7 p.m. today at Runge Mortuary, Davenport. Memorials may be made to a fund for the education of Mr. Adams' children or the church.
He was born May 8, 1952, in Moline, son of Robert A. Jr. and Myrna Koehler Adams. On Oct. 6, 1979, he married Julie Nelson in East Moline.
Mr. Adams served in the Navy during the Vietnam era.
Mr. Adams was employed at Genesis Medical Center, West Campus, Davenport. Prior to that, he was employed by Eagle Warehouse, Milan.
He was a member of American Legion Post 26, Davenport. He had been very active in Boy Scouts and North High Music Boosters. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, woodworking and spending time with his children.
Survivors include his wife, Julie; children, Matthew Robert Adams, Eric Lewis Adams and Kristen Ruth Adams, all at home; parents, Robert A. and Myrna Adams, Rock Island; sisters and brothers-in-law, Kathleen and Andrew Manthey, East Moline, and Julie and Michael Bunch and Beth and Christopher Iversen, all of Coal Valley; father-in-law, J. Robert Nelson, East Moline; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Joanne Nelson, East Moline, and Janice and Steve Evans, Sioux City, Iowa; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Jim and Jennifer Nelson, Tucson, Ariz.; three nieces; eight nephews; and aunts and uncles, Stella and George Fowler, Sylmar, Calif., and Barbara and Bob Anderson, Silvis.
