Winnie Seigler Corbett, of West Columbia, widow of Kennerly R. Corbett, died November 19, 2010, in Irmo.

Born in the New Holland area of Aiken County on November 15, 1914, she was the daughter of Ethel Gantt and Everette Hampton Seigler.

Winnie graduated from Edisto Academy in Seivern, SC.

She was a homemaker most of her life except during World War II, when she worked with the FBI in Washington, DC classifying fingerprints.

Winnie also lived in Dallas, Texas, Cincinnati, Ohio and Florence, SC, while her husband worked for the FBI. He retired as Special Agent in Charge in Florence in 1964. While in Florence, she was active at Calvary Baptist Church, The Fine Arts Literary Club and her children's school.

She was a master bridge player, member of the Florence Country Club and avid gardener. She and Ken travelled extensively throughout all 50 states.

In 1993, Winnie and Ken moved to Hulon Greene Retirement Community in West Columbia. They were married almost 72 years until his death in 2006.

Winnie was predeceased by three sisters, Marie Posey, Roxie Montgomery and Lottie Thomas; one brother, J.P. Seigler and her son-in-law, Richard M. Streett. She is survived by her baby brother, Woodrow D. Seigler of Batesburg-Leesville; two daughters, Barbara Corbett Streett of Columbia and Brenda Corbett Haile of Johns Island; four grandchildren, Martin Streett of Columbia, Rob and Dawn Streett of Chapin, Rebecca Haile Housley of Johns Island and Robert and Kristin Haile of Charleston (James Island) and five great-grandchildren.

Interment: Bush River Memorial Gardens, Columbia.
