She joined the United States Marine Corps Dec. 1958 with her very good friend Wanda Roder. Being a Marine was one of the most proudest things she ever did. Mom was very much an American Patriot. She belived in this country and was an avid supporter of Veterans.

After 32 years of service she retired from Formica Corp. in Lincoln, Ca and contined to give and help others by working at Rocklin Unified School District with the "Adopt a Grandma" program. She felt working in the classroom was very rewarding and she enjoyed it very much.
She enjoyed crocheting, playing cards and travling with her good friend Gloria Carr. They took several vacations together including Mexico, Hawaii and numerous mini trips with their grandchildren. She had her own way of making magic of holidays. Christmas was her favorite and she did it in a big way! We shall miss her this year and everyone to come...
