Maurice Charles Pimm, 87, of Birmingham, AL, and Tampa,with his father owned Pimm Engineering Co. and they worked together in Tampa, for several years. He worked on many sites in and around Tampa, including Carrollwood, Westshore Mall and Sun City Center. Maurice was a World War II fighter pilot and flew his beloved P-47, also known as "The Jug." His missions included Okinawa and Le Shema. He served as a captain in the US Air Force Reserves until he was honorably discharged in April of 1961. Maurice was a member of Wilkes Baptist Church in Midfield, AL, and a Civitan member for many years. He and his beloved companion, Elizabeth Payne, loved ballroom dance and were longtime members of the Birmingham Ballroom Dance Association and many Birmingham dance clubs. He is survived by his daughter, Kathy Littlejohn (Eric); daughter, Janet Casey (Jim); and daughter, Sharon Muller (Bill); grandchildren, Matthew Littlejohn, Kevin Casey, Caitlyn Muller and Lindsey Muller; sister, Mildred Lemine (Al); brothers, Russell Pimm (Arlene), and John Pimm (Ruth). Maurice was preceded in death by his father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Alan Pimm (nee Florence Eckland); and his brother, Donald Pimm. Maurice had a generous spirit and strength of character, and he will be deeply missed by his family and many friends. Burial in Alabama National Cemetery in Montevallo, Ala.
