Son of Thomas and Elma Niccolls. Husband to Lenora Markle Thompson Niccolls and father to Lida, Princess of Thurn & Taxis.

He was a grocer after marrying Lenora, he went into the banking business with his famous brother-in-law J.V. Thompson.

After their marriage, the couple moved into the former home of Judge Veech on the corner of West Main and Mount Vernon Avenue currently the site of Mount Vernon Towers, Uniontown, PA.
