She is survived by seven nieces and nephews; Margaret Love of Pontiac, Albert Emmons of Midland, Rosemary Rushing of North Carolina, Charles Emmons and John Emmons of Big Rapids, Adeline Emmons of Kalamazoo, Kathleen Course of St. Clair Shores; several great-nieces and nephews.
Emmons was an elementary school teacher and a social worker in Cadillac and Grand Rapids for 47 years. She received her bachelor's degree from Eastern Michigan University, and her Master's degree from the University of Michigan. After her retirement she continued volunteer counseling in Grand Rapids.
Services will be held Friday, Sept. 24, 1993 at 3 pm at the Zaagman Memorial Chapel, 1865 Eastern Avenue S.E., Grand Rapids.
Burial will be at Highland View Cemetery in Big Rapids.
Friends may all at the funeral chapel Thursday from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. Memorial contributions may be made to the Kurkjian Children Fund of Fountain Street Church, 24 Fountain N.E., Grand Rapids, Mi. 49503.
