Nicholls Rites Set Tuesday

LOCKPORT –Services for Henry M. Nicholls, 88, of Pine St., retired businessman who owned one of the most outstanding collections of antiques in Western New York,will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Bream & Lange Funeral Home.

Rites will be conducted by the Rev. Herbert L. Seigner, pastor of St. Peter's United Church of Christ. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery.

Mr. Nicholls, who served as assistant treasurer of the Pan-American Exposition in Buffalo in 1901, died Sunday (March 13, 1960) at Lockport Memorial Hospital. He was general manager of the former Lockport Paper Mill when he retired 17 years ago.

He collected antiques as a hobby. Part of his collection, items of which date back more than 200 years, was inherited from either his or his wife's family.

A native of Lockport, he was a member of one of the early pioneering families of this city.
