Laura Raulston Jones, 87, of Hixson, died Saturday, May 8, 2004.
Laura was born and raised in South Pittsburg, Tennessee and was a resident of the Chattanooga area since 1946. She was retired from the Hamilton County School System where she was the Cafeteria Manager for Tyner and Hixson High School. Laura was a member of Hixson United Methodist Church and the Sam McConnell Sunday School Class. She was a member of the Allemande Square Dancing Club.
Laura was preceded in death by her husband, Don Jones; and a son, James W. Jones.
She is survived by her son, Michael Jones, and his wife, June of Hixson; three grandchildren; four great grandchildren; one sister, Clara Angel, Hixson; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 on Monday at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Rev. Randy Martin and Rev. Mark Davis officiating.
The family will receive friends from 4-6 p.m. on Sunday and 10:30 until service time on Monday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
