"B. Harry Downing passed away suddenly at his home at 911 N. Springfield late Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. Downing moved to Anthony in 1912, when he was an employee of the Cudahy Packing Co., of Wichita. He was employed by the firm for 40 years. He was a member of the Anthony Masonic Lodge, a Past Commander of the Knights Templar of Anthony, and a member of Midian Shrine. He is survived by his wife, Pearl."
Born as Benjamin Henry Downing, Jr., he always used the name of "B. Harry", and actually was known as "Uncle Hal" to the family. There was no issue of his marriage.
