A retired foreman in the electrical department of the City of Plaquemine, he died at 10:50 PM, Thursday, Feb. 11, 1999, at his residence in Plaquemine. He was 83 and a native of Plaquemine. He was a U.S. Army sergeant and veteran of World War II. Visiting at St. Clement of Rome Catholic Church, Plaquemine, La., at 8:00 AM until Mass of Christian burial at 10:30 AM Saturday, Feb. 13, celebrated by the Rev. Jerome Dugas. Entombment in Grace Memorial Park Mausoleum. Survived by wife, Verina Rita Abadie Gulotta; a son, Daniel Wayne Gulotta, of Plaquemine; a grandson, Zachary P. Gulotta; two sisters, Josie Gulotta Palermo and Rosa Gulotta Breaux, both of Plaquemine; a brother, Tony Gulotta and wife Thelma Bourgoyne Gulotta of Plaquemine, and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents, Lawrence and Rosa Gulotta; two brothers, Sam and Joe Gulotta; three sisters, Mary Gulotta Brown, Rita Gulotta Santangelo and Jenny Gulotta Boudreaux. He was a member of Woodmen of the World, Plaquemine Camp No. 19. In lieu of flowers memorial denotations may be made to American Cancer Society or to St. Clement of Rome Catholic Church. Wilbert Funeral Home, Plaquemine, La., in charge of arrangements.
