He is survived by one brother, Andrew, of Springfield.
Funeral services were at the Kirlin and Egan funeral home. Interment was in Oak Ridge cemetery.

The death of Alpheus Reeves was due to acute dilitation of the heart, it was decided at an inquest held by Coroner J.P. Knox. Mr. Reeves was found dead at his home about 8:30 p.m. Monday.
