Karmann Evans was born at Valley View Hospital in Ada, Oklahoma on November 18, 1960, and passed away on his birthday November 18, 2010, at his home. Karmann was a 1979 Graduate of the Denton Public Schools and served in the US Navy for 4 years. He worked on his education at North Lake Community College/North Central Texas College and received his certificate from the Mid-Cities Barber College in Grand Prairie, TX. When he took his State Board Exam in Austin, Tx, he was recognized with having achieved the highest score recorded from his Barber College as well as the Texas State Exam. Karmann worked at Mel's Barber Shop in Flower Mound, TX, and was loved by all of his many customers. He was active in his community and was a mentor to several young people within that community. Karmann was a member of First Baptist Church of Denton.

He is survived by his daughter, Maggie Evans; his father, Henry Evans; his mother and stepfather, Helen & Ernie Beasley; His brother and sister-in-law, Lee & Denise Evans; and his sister and brother-in-law, Missy and Derek Sharp; stepbrothers and sisters-in-law, Curt and Rosana Beasley, and Kenny and Jennifer Beasley; and his nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, November 22, 2010, in the First Baptist Church, 1100 Malone St. Denton, with Rev. Cliff Feeler officiating. Burial will follow in the Buffalo Springs Cemetery in Clay County, Texas. The family will be at the Mulkey-Mason, Jack Schmitz and Son Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust, Denton on Sunday, November 21, 2010, for visitation from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Maggie Marie Evans Scholarship Fund.
