MRS. CARRIE HELEN FERGUSON, aged 78 years, died Monday at Friend's Creek, Frederick county, following a two year's illness of heart trouble. She had been confined to her bed for six weeks.
Mrs. Ferguson was born at Friends Creek, the daughter of Simon and Sarah (Sanders) Miller and lived her entire life in that section.
She was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel church, Thurmont.
Her husband, Ananias Ferguson, died in February, 1934.
Surviving are one son, Russell, at home: three daughters, Mrs. Joseph Stouter, Emmitsburg, Route 1; Mrs. Charles Harmon, Akron, O., and Mrs. George Holtz, Sabillasville; 16 grandchildren and nine, great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Jennie Hartegan, McKnightstown.
Funeral Thursday at 8 a.m. at the Our Lady of Mt. Carmel church in charge of Rev. Edward H. Roach. Burial in St. Anthony's cemetery, Mt. St. Mary's College.
