Gertie Sarah Jane Allmon
(September 12, 1917 - December 17, 2012)

Gertie Sara Jane Eudy Allmon, 95, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away on Monday, December 17, 2012 at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis.

The family will receive friends at Cold Springs United Methodist Church, 2550 Cold Springs Road, Concord on Wednesday, December 19, 2012 from 12–2 pm, funeral services will follow at Cold Springs United Methodist Church at 2 pm, with Rev. Tony Bell and Rev. Mary Hatley officiating. Burial will follow at Running Creek Primitive Baptist Church.

At other times the family will meet at her son, Dexter's home, 5129 Heron Lane Concord, NC.

Ms. Allmon was born on September 12, 1917 to the late Grover Cleveland and Lectie Jane Huneycutt Eudy. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, David Caldwell Allmon, brothers, Curtis and wife Ruth, Ernest and Jessie Eudy, and sisters, Estelle Whitley and husband Bradus, Mattie Bell Smith and husband Lecil, and Elizabeth Furr and husband Leonard.

She is survived by her son, Dexter Allmon and wife Joyce of Concord; granddaughters, Tammy Leonard and husband Wes of Mt. Pleasant and Kristy Almond and husband Matt of Mt. Pleasant; great grandchildren, Alisha Leonard 16, Bryce Leonard 11, Trent Almond 9, and Seth Almond 6; brother, H.D. Eudy and wife Nell; sisters, Scenie Hunter, Ann Page and husband Leroy, and Peggy Hartsell and husband J.D.; sister in laws, Betty Eudy, Lucille Eudy; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Cabarrus County 5003 Hospice Lane Kannapolis, NC 28081 or to the charity of the donor's choice.
