Ralph Bailey Keaster, son of Geo. Thomas and Hattie Lanina Keaster, was born near Mound City, Mo., December 24, 1901, and died at a St. Joseph hospital December 18, 1951. He spent his boyhood on a farm near Bigelow.
On October 23, 1937, he was married to Ilene Carr of Oregon, afterward living in St. Joseph and California where he was a construction welder. He continued in this trade until he became ill in September of 1950 when he returned to St. Joseph.
Surviving besides the wife are two brothers, C. O. Keaster of Al Tahoe, Calif. and Fred Keaster of Fortescue; a sister, Mrs. Delmar O. Moore of Oregon; four nephews, two nieces. His parents and one sister, Mrs. Ben Pete Hunt, preceded him in death.
