Wilfred was born in Fairfield Township. He contacted Polio as an infant and never walked without crutches. He was bookkeeper-dispatcher for Russell Brothers Taxi Company in Bridgeton. He purchased the company in the early 1940s and ran the company until his death in 1945. Bill was my father.

Wilfred's wife Irene's ashes are buried above his grave. Her name has not yet been added to the marker. Doris McAllister Henderson was Irene's sister and is buried beside Wilfred's grave. Doris's parents are buried on the other side of the marker.
