He was born in Northampton county, Pennsylvania, September 13. 1844. He is survived by his devoted wife and ten children, most of whom were present at the funeral.
He was a man of strict integrity, a true Christian faithful member of the Methodist church, an enthusiastic Odd Fellow of many years standing and an Old Soldier. He had a winning manner and made friends wherever he went. With his wife he came to El Dorado two years ago and bought a home in Riverside, where he has since lived.
The funeral occurred from the home, Saturday at 1:00 p.m. conducted by the Odd Fellows and he was laid to rest in Belle Vista cemetery, under the beautiful ritualistic service of the Order.
